Wyoming Cannabis History Marijuana is illegal for both recreational and medical use in Wyoming, with the exception of hemp-derived CBD oil containing less than 0.3% THC by weight. CBD oil was legalized in 2019 with the passage of House Bill 171, which removed hemp and hemp-derived CBD products from the Wyoming Controlled Substances Act.
